Muneshine - What Now (feat. Sean Price & Termanology) (Es-K remix)

Threw this acca over a quick beat I put together before work.

Beat of the Day #8 (53Pta)

Beat of the Day #8 is made by an exceptionally talented young (born in 1995) producer from Beograd, Serbia. You know classic hiphop is making a comeback when you hear kids like this making those fly instrumentals... Check that snare, those horns... beautiful filtering, and a great ear for the flip. Love this jam. Peace 53Pta!!

Beat of the Day #7 (Reef Ali)

Today's Beat of the Day is produced by the one and only Reef Ali. One of my favorite producers when it comes to fly samples and that classic hiphop sound. Having worked with some of the best around, Reef's got nothing to prove. This is TRUE HIPHOP!!!

What up Reef!!!

Stealing Music by Keor Meteor

"Currently making plenty noise at Bonafide towers is 26 year old Parisian beatmaker Keor Meteor. Making beats since 2005, the funky Frenchman has not only adopted some of the soul-slicing style of Madlib, Dilla and Premo but also their prolific release rate. Currently on his seventh free EP release this year, he has also found time to produce the Classique album with Yamio263 and Dennis Dove as well as winning a national remix competition for French MC Youssoupha. Despite modern techniques, Keor is stoically committed to golden era production and has no interest in moving beyond gorgeous jazz and soul samples and infectious spoken-word hooks. In a good way."

Beat of the Day #4 (Ta-Ku)

Beat of the day #4 comes at us from Australia. Ta-Ku has been posting a beat a day for the past 30 days (20 to go) which pay hommage to the late great J-Dilla - and I must say.. he's doing a great job! Great sample selection, amazing mix, real bounce and a real nice clarity to all the tracks. Please visit his Soundcloud (Ta-Ku) and check out the previous 30 beats. Some real talent here!

"Recent Redbull Academy participant, Reggie ‘Ta-ku’ Mathews, has gone from strength to strength and has released a plethora of beat tapes and with releases set to drop in 2011, this future beat maker has alot more coming 'and many more releases to unleash."

Dirtybird Beats

Had to post up one of my favs... 2 beats from Dirtybird Beats (Soundcloud)  getting wild with the samples and the synths! Awesome funk here... Will be posting more from him without a doubt.
Purchase the "i'm going home" 7" vinyl @ www.dirtybirdbeats.blogspot.com

Beat of the Day #3 (sLabofmisuse)

Here we have a beat by fellow label-mate sLabofmisuse from Capetown, South Africa, and his recent Cold Busted release "Street Bangerz: Vol. 5". This particular beat reminds me a bit of Thelonious Monk... I love when you can hear one note, or one chord go so far.. even drive a song. Clever sampling and layering while maintaining beautiful simplicity. Keepin' it raw!! Great horns, great guitar, great bass, and oh yea those drums knock! The reversed cymbal that comes in and out is a great touch as well.

"God Grew Tired" by Kid A

Kid A is an MC from Pittsburgh, PA whom I've known for awhile - I've heard so many classic tracks from 2006 and on... This one is from a more recent release and features production by the exceptional beatmaker from Germany Ulliversal (Click). Great lyrics, and a real solid hiphop track.

Beat of the Day #2 (Wax Mantic)

Today's beat is by Wax Mantic hailing from Paris, France. Great groove on this one.. Loving that swing on the kicks and hats. Instrumentation is atmospheric and melodic but it maintains that simple hiphop funk which I love. Basically every time I put this track on I find myself continuously turning it up. Props Wax Mantic!! Tres Bon!!!!

Beat of the Day #1 (J.London)

For the first Beat of the Day I will feature "Wanna Know What Love Is? featuring Mestari & Jazz Flute" by J. London. Great laid back track, real smooth mix, nice blend of samples and composition. Doesn't need an MC but would work well with one.. real nice track.

Day after day by The ArKyve

One of my favorites when it comes to lofi hardware based hiphop.. ArKyve kills it!! Lofi and gritty yet always clean and smooth at the same time.. this track is just a small example of his vast catalogue.. peace ark!

"Based out of Cincinnati Ohio, I'm a writer, poet and producer. My roots and influences range from many different genre's but my passion is the golden era of hip hop style, digging through old dusty records, and chopping drum breaks. I'm always looking to evolve and experiment with my style, and also work and collaborate with others. Music has never been about fame or money to me, its just creative addiction that has yet to be cured."
